This month renowned artist Dominique Labauvie will be in conversation with Katherine Pill, Curator of Contemporary Arts, about his site-specific installation Line of Flight and the custom ornaments that he created for the Museum’s inaugural Deck the Great Hall project. The installation reconsiders the Hall as the “hearth” of our museum building, a place of welcome where people gather to share experience and to connect. The linear quality of the installation is anchored by the familiar form of the holly leaf, a symbol of life and protection across many cultures for centuries.
Artist Talk begins at 6:30pm in the Great Hall.
Music by Karen Benjey on piano
