Jazz Brunch: Nate Najar with Joe Porter

In celebration of Herb Snitzer’s groundbreaking portraits of jazz musicians such as Nina Simone, Miles Davis, and Louis Armstrong, some of which are on display in our Can I Get a Witness exhibition, we are honored to present guitarist Nate Najar with Joe Porter on bass.

Playing in the Conservatory from 11 am to 1:30pm, the duo will delight you with a virtuosity that  exudes a truly intoxicating elegance. This is music with a modern and progressive attitude that perpetuates the legacy of the great Charlie Byrd, while bowing to wide-ranging influences such as classical, bebop, fusion, bossa nova.

This is a FREE event for our MFA guests; there will be seating in our Conservatory for those patrons who would rather enjoy the music without ordering brunch in our MFA Café.
