Glass and bronze

Gift of Edward Acheson Bodine and his children, Melissa and Michael Bodine

Tiffany was fascinated by Roman glass, particularly with the iridescent surfaces that resulted from glass being buried for centuries, and his creative repertoire included many iridescent colors. He was also skilled in the mergining of glass and metal as exemplified in the Lily Lamp-one of the most successful and popular Tiffany productions.
