Inspired by the special exhibition Art of the Stage: Picasso to Hockney, the MFA has collaborated with several regional and national performing arts organizations and artists to bring live music, opera, dance, and theater throughout the museum — including the galleries! Many of the performances are FREE WITH ADMISSION, and drawn from the plays, operas and ballets presented in the exhibition. The events are offered multiple times to ensure visitors don’t miss an opportunity to enjoy this exciting intersection of visual and performing arts.
