6th Grade Tour Volunteer Information Session

What can artwork tell us about the culture from which it comes?

Every 6th grader in the Pinellas County School District comes to the Museum of Fine Arts to explore that question. Our 6th Grade Docents teach students how to examine art as a historical document, looking closely and thinking critically about the art in our collection.

Join us on either August 15 or 22 at 9 a.m. for an information session on how you can be involved with this incredible program! These sessions are to inform and recruit new volunteers. No experience in art or art history is required! We are looking for curious and enthusiastic people from all backgrounds to join us in our goal to highlight the incredible stories we can discover through our collection. Everyone belongs at the Museum of Fine Arts. We are looking for volunteers that are as diverse as our collection!

For more information or to RSVP for one of the sessions please email our Manager of Education at kmartin@mfastpete.org.
