A Feast For the Senses – Pairing Wine and Fragrances
Noted wine and fragrance experts Mary John Baumann and Ruth Sutcliffe have crafted an afternoon designed to illuminate the senses through wine and fragrance. Jim Krivda, senior perfumer from Drom Fragrances, will custom design a fragrance to pair with each of the wines tasted.
This carefully curated selection of wines includes red and white varietals, plus a sparkling champagne including
- Trimbach Gewurtztraminer 2016
- Collet Rose Champagne NV
- Chateau Lagrezette Cahors 2011
- Broadbent Madeira 10 Year Old Boal
Each wine, hand-chosen by our experts, will be paired with a scent specifically chosen to draw out the deep notes hidden in each of the wines. This enriching experience will foster a more profound appreciation for wine, and is inspired by the stunning masterpieces in our special exhibition A Feast for the Eyes: European Masterpieces from the Grasset Collection. Indeed, many of the rich and lush wines sampled during the day’s event hail from areas featured in the exhibition, such as Spain and Italy.
