Coffee Talks with Nan Colton: Elisabeth Vigee-LeBrun

Connect with the Arts through monthly performances that give voice and embodiment to the two-dimensional. The MFA’s ever popular artist-in-residence Nan Colton invites us to meet an artist or historical figure in a 30-minute presentation that includes a cup of coffee and delectable pastries.

Today’s Program is entitled: Elisabeth Vigee-Lebrun.  Vigee-LeBrun’s artistic life, first as a painter to Marie Antoinette, continued to flourish, despite exile during the French Revolution. In her later years, her portraiture was influenced by the circle of monarchs and royals she cultivated.

Refreshments are served at 10:00 am, followed by the performance at 10:30 am.

FREE for MFA members. The program is included in our museum admission.

Complementary Valet Parking is available for attendees from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm on the day of the performance. Enjoy lunch in the MFA Café following the performance and make a day of it!
