Collectors Circle Study Trip: The Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art

Open to Collectors Circle Members only
The Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art, the University of Florida, Gainesville

Collectors Circle members will be among the first to see the Harn’s new David A. Cofrin Wing of Asian Art.  The 26,000-square-foot addition also features two Asian-inspired gardens.  The Harn’s Asian collection, extending from the Neolithic period to the present day, is now one of the most significant in the Southeast.  The late Dr. Cofrin donated 312 works from his collection and gave a major gift toward the construction of the wing, as well as endowment funds to sustain it.

Dr. Lydecker will assist with this tour.  The Cofrin Curator of Asian Art Jason Steuber will introduce participants to the wing and its treasures.  The group will also visit the home of a leading private collector.

Cost: $75 per person, includes lunch and luxury bus transportation.

Collectors Circle activities are guided by the Director and Chief Curator of the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg.  A Collectors Circle membership will offer untold opportunities to grow as a collector.  Participate with us in an exciting adventure in the art world, and adventure that will result in greater personal enrichment.
