The Story of Art | Crossing Boundaries: 1500–1850

The Story of Art series focuses on the story of art history, one that is continually being retold as we discover new things and look afresh at the familiar. Join MFA curators on a journey to learn more about our collection, contextualized with other objects from around the world, as we take a grand tour through the story of art.

Crossing Boundaries: 1500–1850 is presented by Associate Curator Erin Wilson.

Associate Curator Erin Wilson joined the MFA curatorial team in 2017. She has been involved with such diverse exhibitions as Fairyland Lustre, The Darkly Magical World of Daisy Makeig-Jones (2018-19), ‘The Grasshopper and the Ant’ ad Other Stories as told by Jennifer Angus (2019-20), Defining Lines: The Prints and Drawings of Maxime Lalanne (2022), Explore the Vaults: Images Private and Public, c. 1500–1800 (2022-23). Wilson received her BA in Arts Administration from the University of Tampa, and her MA in Art History from the University of South Florida.
