Make & Take Saturdays

Create your own masterpiece inspired by works in the collection and special exhibitions. Supplies are included.

Details for each program will be posted as soon as they are available.

First and third Saturday of the month.

FREE with Museum admission. No registration necessary.

Recommended for ages five and older, but entire families are encouraged to participate.

September 2 and 16: The art of Fonchen Lord inspires us this month to create our own colorful collage.

October 7 and 21: After seeing Philippe Halsman’s Dali Atomicus, you will want to create your own strange and surreal work of art.

November 4: Paper Bag Puppets – Be inspired by the colors, textures, and subject in the collection galleries. Create a puppet based on what you like the most.

November 18: Take note of all the gribbles, materials, and drawings used to create the costumes on view in the special exhibition. Create a paper bag puppet based on what you like the most.

December 2 and 16: Clone It: Block Printing. Create your own work of art, and then learn how to clone it through printmaking techniques.
