
Marly Music Concert Series: Premium Blend Trio – Feat. St. Pete Opera’s Artistic and Executive Director Mark Sforzini

Mark Sforzini, clarinetist Brian Moorhead, and pianist Justin Havard show the development of composition style through the 19th and 20th century and will perform Baroque and classical music.
Sforzini is the St. Pete Opera Artistic and Executive Director and director of the Tampa Bay Symphony. He has conducted more than 40 fully-stage operatic and theatrical productions around the country to high critical acclaim. Moorehead is the associate professor of Applied Music Studies/Clarinet, teaching clarinet performances and chamber music at the University of South Florida since 1985. Moorhead spent 44 years as the Principal (Solo) Clarinet with The Florida Orchestra, where he was featured as orchestral soloist and collaborated with various solo, chamber, and orchestral works in Florida, Colorado, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and New York, with impressive invitations abroad. Havard is an accomplished director, pianist and singer who spent more than a decade working in the Tampa Bay area. He works in the Voice/Choral Department at the University of Louisiana Monroe, but spent 13 years as the award-winning choral director at Palm Harbor University High School. He’s played for many national tours, including The Book of Mormon, Wicked and Spamalot.
