Please join us in the MFA Museum Store as we welcome Tampa Photographer Leslie Joy Ickowitz, in anticipation of the MFA’s first organized educational and cultural exchange trip to Cuba, which will take place on March 24th – 31st.

In May, Leslie recently traveled to Havana and Varadero on a People to People Cultural Exchange where she met Cuban artists, musicians, organic farmers, and even a fashion designer who works on the rooftop of her home under the blazing sun. She found Cubans are the masters of invention. Leslie will show photographs from her series Love Affair with Cuba. Her photographs are a wonderful preview for those traveling to Cuba and an inspiration for those of us who are dreaming of going one day. The artist has written that her images “celebrate the raw, beautiful energy and authenticity of our mysterious island neighbor”.
