Poetry Alley: Group Installation and Walking Tour
Thursday, August 1, 2024
6:00pm–7:30pm
The Corner of Central Avenue and 28th Street

FAX 727-289-3069 (FAX) is a collaborative social art and poetry project. The core of the work centers around a monthly flier project at Poetry Alley, the alley south of Central Ave between 20th and 28th streets. On the first of the month, FAX installs 64 unique fliers on the power poles of the alley. These fliers revolve around images and text all related to a theme. FAX has three dedicated members, Keifer Calkins, Eleanor Eichenbaum, and Tyler Gillespie, and aims to create dialogue and collaboration with other artists, writers, organizations, and events to facilitate the many voices and visions within our community. The Fax project utilizes tools such as fax machines, copy machines, and zine making to produce a product that speaks to analog social forms of communication that react with the “real world” around us. The project is self-funded and produced.
