Wild Creations: Empowerment & Art Workshop for Young Women

Wild Creations is designed for the rising 6th to 9th graders who identify as female.

This workshop is a newly created program at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg. During this empowering and educational week, we will learn about “traditional” female roles in society and how historical and contemporary female artists and others have challenged these roles (as artists and activists), from women within the MFA Curatorial staff. This interactive workshop will incorporate mindfulness and yoga specifically catered to the empowerment of young women, helping to recognize a new emergent path for strong and confident women. Students will gain tools for social emotional management and expression of their emotions through painting, drawing and/or collage.
