*SOLD OUT* Summer Camp Session 3 – Wild Creations: Art & Empowerment Workshop

Inspired by historical and contemporary female artists from around the world, participants will spend this week exploring art as voice and discovering how art can be used as a tool for expression, care, and advocacy. We’ll join the women of the MFA Curatorial Staff to learn about female artists featured at the MFA, including the Guerrilla Girls, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Elizabeth Vigee Le Brun. We’ll also experience the special exhibition Fresh Up, the first solo museum exhibition of Bahamian artist Gio Swaby, whose work explores the intersections of Blackness and womanhood. Back in the classroom, participants will practice using their own artistic voice through drawing, collage, painting, and more.

Wild Creations is designed for the rising 6th to 9th graders who identify as female.
