Field Trip: Studio Visit with Steven Kenny

The Contemporaries encourages the collection of contemporary art, and supporting local galleries and artists.  Our second field trip of the year is a studio visit with St. Petersburg artist Steven Kenny.  In his vivid yet fantastical oil paintings, Kenny depicts the relationship – depending on one’s viewpoint, either tense or harmonious-between the human figure and the natural world.  Kenny received his BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, and  has exhibited extensively across North American and Europe.

Cost: $10 for Members of The Contemporaries; $15 for non-members of The Contemporaries. Refreshments included.

The Contemporaries was formed to build engagement among contemporary art enthusiasts with the Museum of Fine Art’s diverse programming, with a focus on supporting contemporary artists and exhibitions at the MFA and throughout the Tampa Bay area.
