The Contemporaries encourages the collection of contemporary art, and supporting local galleries and artists. Our first field trip of the year is a visit to the home of Tony Casoria, co-owner of The Mandarin Hide, POW and the upcoming Rock Brothers Brewery and co-founder of Whigfest and Attic Records. Casoria has amassed a collection of works by local artists including Sebastian Coolidge, Bask, Calan Ree, John Vitale, Tes One, and Chad Mize. Pale Horse, aka Chris Parks, is also included in the collection and will be in attendance to discuss the artist-collector relationship. Refreshments will be served.
Program is at capacity. Please CLICK HERE for other upcoming events/programs of The Contemporaries.
The Contemporaries was formed to build engagement among contemporary art enthusiasts with the Museum of Fine Art’s diverse programming, with a focus on supporting contemporary artists and exhibitions at the MFA and throughout the Tampa Bay area. The educational meets the social at The Contemporaries’ events, and we hope you can join us!
