SUMMARY:the ins and outs | Vol. 1 with Sapphic Sun
DESCRIPTION:the ins and outs | Vol. 1 with Sapphic Sun – “Heresies: Art\, Politics & Intersectionality”\nJoin us for the first event in a bold new series inspired by the work and legacy of pioneering feminist artist Nina Yankowitz. This 21+ evening blends art\, conversation\, and community over an cash bar and delicious bites\, diving into themes that defined Nina’s career—activism\, collaboration\, and creative resistance. \nHeresies: Art\, Politics & Intersectionality features The Sapphic Sun\, a new locally printed\, countercultural publication echoing the spirit of Heresies\, the groundbreaking feminist magazine collective Nina co-founded in the late 1970s. Through pop-up demos\, a panel discussion\, small bites from Café Clementine\, and hands-on writing prompts\, contributors from The Sapphic Sun will explore the intersections of politics\, identity\, and print culture—past and present. \nEngage with the creative process of writing\, printing\, and design while enjoying a cocktail. Then take part in a salon-style writing session that opens space for reflection\, storytelling\, and the radical power of the printed word. \nFor the first time ever\, our very own Café Clementine will be catering an evening event with us\, serving up Small Plates & Sweet Disruptions. Enjoy some Clementine classics along with new tastings like Draped Prosciutto & Peach Crostini with Burrata and Basil\, inspired by Nina’s draped works with a Summer spin; Blistered Shishito Peppers with Lemon Zest\, bright\, bold\, and unpredictable—like any good heresy; or maybe Sourdough Crisp “Zines” with Cream Cheese & Cucumber Ribbons… \nEvening Schedule: \n6:00–7:00 PM: Pop-Ups & Cash Bar\n7:00–7:30 PM: Introductory Talk\n7:30–8:30 PM: Hors d’oeuvres & Writing Session\n8:30–9:00 PM: Panel Discussion + Open Salon \nSpace is limited—reserve your seat and raise a glass to art\, voice\, and vision. \nthe ins and outs | Vol. 1 with Sapphic Sun \nAges 21+ | Includes cash bar\, heavy hors d’oeuvres\, and lively discussion \nFriday\, July 25\, 2025\n6:00 PM–9:00 PM\nTickets: $50 / $75 / $100 – You Choose \nWe believe in making art accessible to all.
