Since opening its doors in 1965, the Museum of Fine Arts has been dedicated to collecting and caring for objects of artistic and cultural merit and interest. This has resulted in the Tampa Bay area’s most comprehensive art collection, with major works from antiquity to the present day represented.

50 for 50 stems from a project initiated earlier this year. In honor of its 50th anniversary, the MFA set out to secure 50 new works for its ever-evolving collection. Donors met this challenge with enthusiasm, making this a remarkable success and one to be celebrated.

50 for 50 spotlights these gifts, which range dramatically in medium, geographies, and eras. Works will be alternated throughout the length of the exhibition so that incoming gifts can be represented. 50 Artworks for 50 Years celebrates these new acquisitions and highlights those members of our community whose continuous support is immeasurable:
