want to be a docent for the mfa?

We are now accepting applications for a new class of docents at the Museum of Fine Arts!

We are looking for people who:

• Are curious and excited about art from around the world and throughout history
• Enjoy creating welcoming, engaging experiences for visitors of all ages
• Enjoy leading fun, stimulating conversations about art, history, and culture

Our docents include working professionals, stay-at-home parents, retirees, and students, all from a wide variety of backgrounds. No prior art or teaching experience is required.

The free training course will take place Thursdays from 6 pm to 8 pm, October 13^th through April 6^th, and includes interactive gallery teaching training, mentorship with current MFA docents, special presentations from local experts, and curator-led gallery talks.
