Wild Creations Digital Access: Georgia O’Keeffe

Join the Museum of Fine Arts curatorial team as we explore artwork by women artists in the museum’s collection. Wild Creations is designed to showcase the powerful contributions of women artists throughout history, while offering participants an opportunity to examine structural forces that have led to inequality in the art world.

In Workshop 5, we’re spotlighting artist Georgia O’Keeffe, a true pioneering force of American Modernism. To get started, watch this video with MFA Curator of Contemporary Art Katherine Pill discussing three O’Keeffe paintings that are a part of the MFA collection. Then, follow this lesson guide with a quiz to further explore how O’Keeffe’s work spanned from diverse major subjects including New York nightscapes, intimate flower portraits, and the New Mexico landscape. Click here to submit your quiz answers to be eligible for prizes, and look for a special Wild Creations tour once our museum reopens!

Thank you for participating — and for becoming your very own Wild Creation.
