The MFA offers many fascinating educational opportunities from fun and informative programs, to lectures and music events.
Most programs are ongoing and free with admission to the Museum—another great benefit of Museum membership. You can also take advantage of daily docent tours that provide interesting commentary and information on the works of art on display. The museum also provides private events and catering rental options.
Plan your visit around programs and activities listed on our events calendar.
The MFA offers special lectures, gallery talks, music concerts, cinema screenings and seasonal events. The Margaret Acheson Stuart Society also hosts events such as Wine Weekend, Art in Bloom and SMartLY Dressed. General docent tours are available daily.
Youth & Family Programs
Weekly family programming includes Make & Take, Yoga and Drumming. Painting in the Park and Stuffed Animal Nights are annual events with fun for the whole family.
There are a variety of add-on enrichment groups which must be combined with an active MFA membership, and include interests in photography, the decorative arts, music and others.
