Book Club at the MFA

Join Keep St. Pete Lit, a local organization that supports the literary community, for a book club connecting the visual and literary arts. Each month’s featured book will relate to the MFA’s collection or special exhibitions.

October 12: Reading George Suanders’ Lincoln in the Bardo will encourage us to explore artists way of depicting love, loss, and the spiritual world in the collection.

November 9: The Hare with Amber Eyes: A Family’s Century of Art and Loss by Edmund Waal highlights works from the Impressionists to Japanese netsuke.

December 14: This month the special exhibition inspires us to dive into galactic intrigue. We will read about Winter, an alien world in Ursula K. Le Guin’s Left Hand of Darkness.

Second Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm.
Free with Museum admission, which is only $5 after 5 pm on Thursday.
