Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn, who received an Oscar nomination for her performance, began their artistic and personal relationship in this classic film. Ms. Hepburn plays Tess, a sophisticated international affairs correspondent way ahead of her time, and Mr. Tracy is Sam, a gruff sportswriter.
Dr. Margit Grieb, Associate Professor of German and Director of the Film Studies Certificate Program at the University of South Florida, Tampa, will provide an introduction and concluding remarks.
