Join us for this Coffee Talk performance with Nan Colton. Hear stories of heroes long gone as told in the characterization of Clio, the Muse of History, who will share classical Greek and Roman tales. The ancient Greeks believed the performing arts were a vital part of their culture. Everyone could attend the plays free of charge. Everyone sat on seats made of stone.  The literary tradition of the ancient Greeks is teeming with myths, legends, and fables. We root some of our current philosophies in the imaginations of those ancient thinkers who peered deeply into the world around them and then made up explanatory stories.
