Coffee Talks with Nan Colton: Some of these days, 1930

Join us for this Coffee Talk performance with Nan Colton.

The 1930s brought a new reality to America. Social, political, moral, and artistic issues and new ideas were spreading rapidly via telephone and telegraph. Radios blared daily weather and product commercials while electricity poles made bold lines across wide-open spaces. No one foresaw or proclaimed the great depression to come. These were the days of great anticipation and enthusiasm. Mrs. Tidbit, a fictitious character, tells us about settling in St. Petersburg after the death of her husband, of the famous – and infamous – people she has encountered, of remarkable happenings during the period, and startling inventions being made.
