Connect with the arts through monthly performances that give voice and embodiment to the two-dimensional. Nan Colton, the MFA’s ever popular performing artist-in-residence, turns to special exhibitions and the collection for her scripts and 30-minute presentations. Enjoy refreshments at 10 a.m., her performance at 10:30, and a general docent tour at 11:15.

October 14: Spine Chilling Tales
This performance will haunt you long after you leave the Museum.

November 11: A Self-Portrait
Ms. Colton uncovers the inspirations of acclaimed abstract artist Joan Mitchell, who is represented in Marks Made.

December 9: An Intellectual Affair
Enter the close, tumultuous friendship between Mary Cassatt and Edgar Degas which fueled their Impressionistic masterpieces.
