Please join the Friends of Photography for the best-ever Pick-A-Pic fundraising event. Guests will view three photographs by California artist Sam Contis, listen to this exciting emerging artist talk about her work, and then vote on which piece will join the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts. Be a part of history in the making!

The featured works are from Contis’ Deep Springs series, an exploration of masculinity, identity and the iconography of the American West, published in 2017 and named as one of the year’s best photography books by the New York Times, The Guardian, Lensculture and others.

Meet the artist, groove to music by The Petty Band. Mingle with fellow art lovers. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, chance drawings and, cash bar. F.O.P. members get 5 votes, all others receive a single vote.
