Please join us in welcoming Pakistani artist Haider Ali, who will be live painting a car as part of the MFA’s collaboration with the 2018 Shine Mural Festival and Carmada.

Ali is best known for his work in the distinctive Pakistani “jingle truck” art style, a popular form of decoration in South Asia featuring elaborate floral patterns and calligraphy on vehicles, so named by American soldiers in Afghanistan because of the bells often attached to front bumpers. In recent years, these ornate vehicles have gained widespread attention and artistic acclaim.

Ali will start his work on October 4th and finish October 6th.  Come by on Saturday and see the finished product on the front porch of the MFA.
