Lei-making workshop

Get ready for your Hawaiian luau. Noted Ikebana artist and Hawaiian native Jeanne Houlton will help you make two different types of leis, one a floral version from natural Florida materials. You can take home all workshop materials, including an Hawaiian lei needle.

Fee: $15 members, $20 non-members.

The Hawaiian lei is traditionally placed around the head and on the shoulders of a special person as a token or gift of friendship. The lei represents the admiration, respect and honor given to the individual. Its also given for any special occasion such as birthdays, graduations, weddings and any special event.
