Photography from the MFA archives comes alive through the art of the “Ekphrastic,” a literary interpretation of a piece of visual art. Eighty hand-picked photographs from the MFA’s collection have been compiled into eight presentations, and noted Bay Area authors were invited to write stories or poems inspired by the chosen works. The artists will present their texts before a live audience, so please join us for this third-annual, one-of-a-kind event for literature and photography fans alike!
