Peggy Guggenheim: Art Addict

Celebrate the Platinum Anniversary of the Tampa Bay Jewish Film Festival with a screening of Peggy Guggenheim: Art Addict at the Museum of Fine Arts.

Peggy Guggenheim: Art Addict examines one of the art world’s defining women: the heiress and champion of the avant- garde who was not only ahead of her time but helped to define the modern art movement. As she moved through the cultural upheaval of the 20th century amid her own personal tragedies, she collected not only art, but artists. Her colorful history included such figures as Samuel Beckett, Max Ernst, Jackson Pollock, Alexander Calder, Marcel Duchamp as well as countless others.

Throughout her life, she continued to believe in her legacy and maintained her vision to build one of the most important collections of modern art, now enshrined in her Venetian palazzo.

Tickets: $12 for non-members; $5 for MFA members
