The Museum Store: Meet the Artist, Jeremiah Jacobs
When Jeremiah Jacobs took a ceramics class in high school, he was hooked. After graduating, he attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and fell under the spell of Athenian vase technique, which can be seen in his work today.
In 2011, he came to St. Petersburg as an artist-in-residence at the Craftsman House Gallery and began to explore other media in the vibrant Warehouse Arts District where he now lives. He has expanded his interests to glass-blowing, mold-making, and bronze casting and has become a gaffer at the Morean Arts Center Glass Studio and Hot Shop. These currents flow into both his ceramic and glass art, taking him on an exciting new journey.
Join us in the Museum Store to meet Jeremiah on October 20.
