Sensory Saturdays
All Ages Welcome
First Saturdays of the month, 10 am to 12 pm
The MFA welcomes visitors who have sensory processing disorders and other sensory-related disabilities to explore the galleries with us each month!
During this time, all rotating audio components will be turned down or muted to ensure a calm environment. Visitors also have the opportunity to borrow items from Visitor Services such as colorblind glasses, noise-canceling headphones, and sensory toys.
Free for MFA Members or with the cost of admission for Not-Yet Members.
During the same time, families and children wanting a hands-on experience can join us in the Membership Garden for sensory play and artmaking. Participants will have the opportunity to complete guided activities with MFA staff, volunteers, and Curious Creations Co. Many of these activities are art projects you and your child can even take home!
Registration required, activities are geared for ages 2-10. $5 per child participant.
