The MFA is proud to work with USF’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities as one of their Autism Friendly businesses in Tampa Bay. Through this partnership, the MFA has sensory objects available for any visitor who may need them, including noise-canceling headphones and fidgets. Founded in 2008, USF CARD provides assistance at no cost to those with Autism or related disabilities. Their comprehensive list of “Autism Friendly Businesses can be found here.

The MFA Membership and Sculpture Gardens are designated quiet spaces for anyone in need of a break during their visit. For families with children with sensory sensitivities, we offer a Sensory Saturday program each month during which audio components in the galleries are turned down or muted.
