Homeschool Hours | Art at the Dinner Table
Don’t eat the artwork! But have you ever wondered what kinds of art you can find right at your dinner table? Together, we’ll discover how people throughout history have created stylish, beautiful tools for eating and drinking and make some tasty-looking discoveries along the way.
Homeschool groups and families are invited to gather at the MFA every second Wednesday of the month for hands-on art making, interactive learning, and fun community connection right inside the MFA Studio Classroom. Families must remain in the museum, or in the MFA Studio Classroom, during the program. We invite you to explore the galleries or enjoy a treat at Cafe Clementine while students participate.
Instruction and hands-on activities are designed for students ages 5–14, led by museum educators. In addition, Gallery Activity Guides are available at Visitor Services.

Adult chaperones can attend the classroom programs for free or wait elsewhere in the building.
Chaperones participating in the in-gallery activities must either be a member or purchase admission.
