ABOUT KATE SIERZPUTOWSKI

Kate Sierzputowski is a curator, art advisor, and cultural leader internationally recognized for her work in contemporary art and fair programming. She currently serves as Director of EXPO CHICAGO, one of the United States’ leading international contemporary and modern art fairs, where she oversees gallery relations, collector engagement, and strategic curatorial initiatives following her appointment to the role in November 2025.

Previously, Sierzputowski was Artistic Director of EXPO CHICAGO, where she led the fair’s curatorial and public programming — including talks, forums, and exhibition sectors — bringing together international curators, artists, institutions, and collectors to foster dialogue and cultural exchange.

Before joining EXPO CHICAGO, she co-founded BARELY FAIR, an international miniature art fair focused on small-scale exhibitions by artist-run spaces, and served as co-director of the Chicago-based artist-run gallery Julius Caesar. She also founded INSIDE\WITHIN, a digital platform featuring artist interviews and studio visits, and has contributed writing to publications such as HyperallergicTeen Vogue, and Chicago Magazine.

Sierzputowski holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University and has been active as a guest lecturer and speaker in academic and cultural settings. Her work bridges curatorial practice, market engagement, and institutional collaboration with a focus on emerging voices and innovative platforms in the art world
